We met by chance in Key West—me on a girls’ trip, him on a bachelor trip. He’d just finished a bet gone wrong when our paths crossed, and what began as a poolside conversation quickly turned into hours of laughter, surprise visits, and a life together in New York. One spontaneous day in Florida turned into a forever kind of story.
